Creating a home

The opportunity we saw for Meet the Makers.

Meet the Makers is the Food & Agribusiness Network’s (FAN) flagship food and beverage trade event. It brings local producers together with buyers, retailers, distributors, chefs, hospitality businesses and other commercial decision-makers from across the region, Queensland, Australia and the globe.

The event had grown significantly, but its online presence hadn’t grown with it. FAN had done what it could with the resources available, but the existing event pages no longer reflected the professionalism, scale or commercial opportunity of Meet the Makers.

Mogul identified an opportunity to give Meet the Makers its own digital home. The aim was to create a professional, useful platform for the 2026 event while establishing an asset FAN could build on in future years.

The entire project was delivered within 3 weeks from planning to launch while the FAN team was focused on organising the event itself.

A stronger foundation for future events

Meet the Makers needed a digital presence that could communicate the value of the event to several distinct audiences.

  • Buyers needed a clear reason to attend.
  • Exhibitors needed to understand the commercial opportunity.
  • Sponsors and partners needed confidence in the quality, reach and professionalism of the event.
  • Networkers have a chance to build valuable connections with producers, buyers and industry leaders.

Focus on the community

Key areas of work.

Important information was spread across FAN’s main website and external ticketing platforms, making it harder to present the full value of the event in one place.

Building an Asset.

The dedicated website has brought the event’s content, programme, registration pathways, partnership information and updates into one place. It gives FAN a platform for telling the event’s story before, during and after the annual trade showcase.

More importantly, it gives FAN a digital asset it can build to support year-round visibility for Meet the Makers, while creating a central place to engage future exhibitors, buyers, sponsors and supporters.

It allows FAN to create engagement and understand how audiences are responding to the event. This will build a clearer picture of the event’s reach, commercial relevance and contribution to the food and agribusiness sector.

This evidence will support stronger conversations with sponsors, government and funding partners about the value and industry impact of Meet the Makers.

Digital Exhibitor Catalogue.

The catalogue showcases each exhibitor, their products and their business story, organised by relevant categories. It gives exhibitors visibility beyond the event floor and gives buyers a useful resource before and after the event.

Importantly, FAN can manage the catalogue themselves. Exhibitors can be switched on or off for future events, allowing the site to evolve each year without rebuilding the feature from scratch. This creates a more enduring connection between the businesses attending and the people they want to reach.

The catalogue also gives FAN a practical way to extend exhibitor visibility beyond the event itself. It can help buyers revisit businesses and products after the event, while giving exhibitors an ongoing point of presence within the Meet the Makers platform.

Delivered at Pace.

The project had a short runway. The site needed to be planned, designed, built and launched in time to support the 2026 event, without creating an unnecessary burden for FAN’s already stretched team.

Mogul worked with the information available, prioritised what offered the greatest immediate value, and kept the process focused. FAN supplied the essential content and event information while Mogul translated it into a structured, credible and easy-to-navigate website.

The result was a dedicated event platform live ahead of Meet the Makers 2026, giving FAN a professional digital presence for that year’s event and a practical foundation it can improve and build on for the next one.

Supporting a Sector That Matters.

Meet the Makers creates commercial opportunities for food and agribusiness businesses, helps buyers discover local products and suppliers, and brings people together around an industry that matters to the Sunshine Coast.

FAN has an important role in connecting, supporting and advocating for the region’s food and agribusiness businesses. Mogul values partnerships where good digital work can contribute to meaningful outcomes in a community or industry.

By contributing our expertise, Mogul was able to help FAN establish a stronger digital foundation for Meet the Makers, without adding unnecessary pressure to a small team already focused on delivering a major industry event.

In the client's own words.

“Mogul saw an opportunity where their expertise could make a genuine difference and came to us with the idea.

They made the whole process incredibly easy, particularly given the timeframe we were working with.

The end result is amazing – a polished, professional site that completely elevates how Meet the Makers is presented and gives us a digital presence that genuinely reflects the quality of the event.

Even better, it gives us a platform we can continue to build on and grow for years to come.”
